How to get there by air

Walt Disney World by Air

From Montreal the best way to get to Orlando is by Air Canada or Air Transat from Montréal-Trudeau International Airport (YUL). Between the two airlines ticket prices are very competitive. I prefer flying Air Canada.

There are three flights per a day from Montreal (YUL) to Orlando (MCO) via Air Canada.

Travelling to Orlando there is a long line at US Customs in Montreal. Returning from Orlando there is a long line at Security.

Airport to Resort

If you are travelling to the resort from the airport you can reserve tickets on Mears Connect. Mears Connect is a shuttle bus service from the airport to all the Disney Resorts. It is both inexpensive and simple. The return from the resorts I take an Uber.

The far end of the baggage handling area is where the Mears Connect buses are located. It is well indicated. If you purchased ahead of time you can simply show the QR code of you ticket on your phone and you will be on your way. Service is usually friendly and you can tip the driver once you get off at the resort.

There are dollies in the resorts to bring your luggage. I always travel with at least one suitcase and a carryon and that is the same for the rest of my group.

Checking In Ahead of Time

It is possible to check in ahead of time using the Disney World app. If you already have your Magic Bands from a previous trip this can be a time saver. You can checkin earlier in the day. Probably the best time is after you land waiting to get your luggage.
