This recipe has many good nutrients from oats and whole wheat flour.
Prep Time: 5 minutes Cooking Time: About 20 minutes (Really depends on your Waffle Iron)
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
- 1/2 cup of whole wheat flour
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 1 1/2 cups of low-fat milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 teaspoon vamilla extract
- 1 cup of fresh blueberries
- 4 tablespoons maple syrup
Directions
- Blend together the oats, whole wheat flour, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a medium bowl until powdery. Add the sugar, cinnamon nutmeg, milk, eggs, and vanilla extract. Blend until smooth.
- Heat a waffle iron and coat well with cooking spray. Cook the waffles in the waffle iron.
- Serve each waffle with 1/4 cup blueberries and 1 table-spoon maple syrup.
